How to measure correctly?
- Neck: Measure just below the Adam's apple, with the tape level all the way around. Keep your head straight.
- Waist (Men): Measure at navel level, keeping the tape level.
- Waist (Women): Measure at the narrowest part of the abdomen, usually above the navel.
- Hip (Women Only): Measure at the widest part of the buttocks/hips.
What is Body Fat Percentage?
Body fat percentage is the proportion of fat in your body compared to everything else (muscles, bones, water, organs, etc). It is a much more useful metric than BMI (Body Mass Index) for determining health and fitness progress, as it differentiates lean mass from fat mass.
